Other Info: I did some research and it seems that Jimmy Wakely didn't sign too many records or have his actual signature out there as much as most singers and actors of that time. I found a couple of items that were being sold (not records) that had his signature and they were selling for $300 to $600! I figure this is a mint record with him singing and then signed by him would be worth that much as well. I'm not going to list it for that much but I just want to give you an idea of what I've seen his signature being sold for. I tried to find another record exactly like this one and but I couldn't. That leads me to believe this record is one of Jimmy's harder to come by albums. I can't say that's a fact but I know from doing research on other records, if you can't find another one on ebay or only a couple, it's usually a rarer one.
The couple that owned this record, use to go to all kinds of shows and concerts (mostly country) and got almost every album they had signed by the artist that recorded it. I have a lot albums by Patsy Montana and other artists that are signed. I will be listing them as fast as I can, many of them are rare.

Year: It says the album was originally recorded in 1958
----------------------------------------------------------------
Condition: The record looks like it's in Mint or excellent condition, I don't think it was ever played, it looks brand spankin' new. The cover has some wear but not too much and no splitting. The back of the cover has some yellowing around the edges and what looks like some darker areas in some places and it shows a little bit of ring wear but the front cover doesn't. The front cover looks pretty good I think. The very edges have some darkening but nothing that bad. It's the record itself that amazing! It looks brand new! It looks like it was never even taken out of the jacket! Then it's signed: To Wilma & Don from Jimmy Wakely. I have a feeling that the couple that owned these records didn't play most of them. I've been going through them and most look just like this one, like it was never played. Overall, it looks like a really nice record that any collector would be happy to have & add to their collection!

NOTE: Here's some more info I found about Jimmy Wakely.
Singer, songwriter and actor Jimmy Wakely (1914-1982), Monogram's low-budget answer to Gene Autry, made a number of Westerns for the studio, but he is best remembered for his collaborations with singer Margaret Whiting and the Christmas song, "Silver Bells". Wakely, who was second only to Autry in pop hits, made his debut with his Jimmy Wakely Trio in the 1939 Roy Rogers' vehicle, Saga of Death Valley. He made his last films for Monogram in 1949, but was later seen on the big screen in The Marshal's Daughter (1953), Arrow in the Dust (1954) and Money, Women and Guns (1959). Wakely, whose songs include "Moon Over Montana", "The Weary Stranger", "My Heart Has Room for You", "I Don't Care", "It's a Beautiful Day", "Bouquet of Roses", "Cowtown, U.S.A." and "Rose of the Prairie", had his compositions featured in a number of feature films from 1942-1998. He also made records with his family, which I have one of them that I'll be listing also. It's signed by him and I think some of his family members that were in the group.
----------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: I have many more vintage records, (in very good condition) from WWII and up to the 70's & 80's. I have 45's, 78's and 33's (LP's) from a big variety of styles/types of music. I plan on listing as many as I can in the next 2 weeks (as time allows) so please, check back to see if I have anything you're looking for!
